After an evening at Bikes, Blues, and Barbeque, I am not sure anything will make sense, but here goes. I've decided to apply for the Le Mans program. I think it is the best thing for me personally and I can't continue to worry about anything other than me. It's time that I focus on myself for once in my life. That may be selfish, but if I don't do it now, I never will. Plus this way I might get to go to Tunisia on holiday :)
I spent tonight with most of the other French TAs. We've really bonded into an amazing group! I wish that I hadn't been such an outsider last year, but not being a TA last year really made it nearly impossible to feel like part of the team. This year though is definitely making up for it. I met Justin, Jessica, Natalie, and Aurélie at the beer garden but Natalie had forgotten her ID so she and Jessica went back to get it. The rest of us hung out and had a few drinks. Before the night was over, we went to Zooloo's and Brewskis before buying vodka and heading back to Justin's house for drinks. We just set around and talked for a couple of hours. I have to say that we all have not run out of things to talk about which is really nice. Everything is new and we can talk and talk without running into a point where there's nothing to say. They are a really great group and it's nice to have people that are interested in French and literature who want to spend an hour discussing books or,heaven forbid, even poetry.
Now I am drunk (or at least semi-drunk) and sitting at home watching season 2 of "Coupling". This is a really awesome show and it's so funny. Granted the show is about nothing but sex, but the comedy is at a point that only British comedy can reach.
